really, i've been embarrassed to be an american for some time now. this is not helping. i almost cried when i heard the initial $15 million aid offer. it's disgusting. and we wonder why the world hates us - we take their resources, kill their people to increase our own fortunes (for those lucky .05% who can count themselves among the upper class) and then when disasters (other than us) strike offer insultingly low amounts of aid and expect everyone to tell us how generous and caring we all are. what's saddest to me is that donations by individuals will likely equal the amount of aid our government is providing. and of course good ole jeb and george senior are on tv telling everyone that the aid we're providing has been exceptional and timely....it's all in the family you know?
