After an incident yesterday involving an insect and Hayley's legs I need to get a replacement cup holder fitted to the car*. I guestimated about £50 or so, and was proved very wrong; Saab Oxford will supply and fit a replacement cup holder for £150. There's a specilist Saab garage just down the road from my office and they'll do it for £120 so it's ( Read more... )

Have you tried your local scrapyard? Failing that, Motor World have been quite useful in sourcing bits for cars (the washer pump for my fiesta they got same day at half the price Halfords wanted).

Is it a peculiar SAAB bit, or is the same thing fitted to other GM cars?

As far as I know, it's a Saab part that's specific to the 93 :\ Thanks for the suggestion though.

Give Hills a bell. They're always breaking cars, might have one.

Hayley paid for the repair lol!

The incident consisted of one dead and decaying fly on the dashboard. No way was I moving it *shudder* Kept my beady eye on it on the way to work and then Chris took a roundabout at the speed of light. Dead and decaying fly comes towards me at warp speed. I instinctively bring my legs up and knee'd the cup holder. Cue one broken cup holder and a row between me and Chris lol!

Do what I did - join a car club - there's plently of discount found in most car clubs. Even cheap insurance.

Worth checking...
