Some new friends of mine are college students in Florida and they're doing the backpack-around-Europe thing this summer. They speak Esperanto, so they're stopping at Esperanto events and meeting local Esperantists. They were in London and now they're in Paris, and they posted some pictures on Facebook. In retrospect:

1. We made a good decision to stay in Montmartre, even if the hostel was kind of seedy.

2. We made a good decision to spend a full two weeks there.

I haven't been back since that summer with you, Pramod, Tara, and President Clinton.

Which they just called Amélie in the US, but it occurs to me that they could translated it as something like The Fabulous Fate of Emily Tate, right?

If they'd done that, wouldn't everyone have assumed it was a sequel to Soap? :)

Is it always sunny there? :) I have some pictures from when I was there. There was a street performer in front of the Sacre Coeur, wearing a hat with earflaps and he had a suitcase. I don't speak French, so I had no idea what his skit was about, though :)

No-more-traveling blues coming on...
