I only feel my body is perfect
when I'm bleeding from a small cut somewhere,
leaving drops of sweat on the dojo floor.

So I caught the tail end of a new "reality show", eponymously titled "La Bella y el Nerd".
The show's concept is simple: take the usual misfits, sequester them in a house and watch them fight cabin fever and each other for a prize. The twist here is that the 10 females are all knockouts: models, dancers, apprentice actresses, former beauty queens. ( Read more... )

1. I wake up at 4:30am without an alarm clock.
2. I have time to meditate, skip rope, shower, breakfast and check email before having to go to school.
3. I get to school 15 minutes early to beat the traffic.
4. I have all my lesson plans and copies miraculously ready from the day before and my desk is neat and spotless.

Very rarely, I catch sight of myself in a mirror.... in one of those unique and special moments when my eyes are clear, open and relaxed, when the circles under my eyes are not so dark, when my face looks smooth and clean.... and the reaction is always the same. A thought that came to me while deep in meditation. I'm writing it everywhere I can and mentioning it to everyone I know. My feeling is that it is a powerful idea.
The world is small, and we are neverending.
