Took Toby for a walk early this morning, or rather, he took me for a walk as I let him choose the direction we walked in. Lovely morning, no one around although a few early birds drove past while we meandered from tree to bush to mysterious clump that needed a good sniffing. It's alive!
So there I am waiting in line at the chemist to collect my 'script when my mind pays attention to what my eyes have been vacantly staring at... On the top two shelves of the display rack in front of me are condoms and personal lubricant while on the next three shelves are teething gels, baby wipes, pacifiers etc. Do you suppose they did it ( Read more... ) -
Plagues
The locust have finally arrived in the neighbourhood. Not in plague proportions yet but we may have that to look forward to. Plus I came home yesterday and discovered bees swarming around all the vents at the side of the house - thought I'd avoided them this year as it seems a little late for them. On probation...
Came home from work today and, with milder weather, decided it was a good day to walk the dog. So we did just that. Nothing adventurous happened while we were out-and-about but as we strolled through the front gate we were spotted by the twin little boys from next door. Supernatural Shrinkage
A few days ago I had the opportunity to have my height measured and discovered I am exactly 5'4", or around 162cm. Why is this worth noting, you wonder? Because I've SHRUNK! I used to be 5'5" and a bit. No wonder I can't change my own light bulbs. Have I had too many showers, wandered through too many downpours? Perhaps it's a very recent ( Read more... ) -
The library
The library is looking almost ready to move back into. Good in one way but bad in another. This means I will be spending next week lugging around boxes, putting shelving back together, cleaning and deciding where to put things. Getting dusty and sweaty and probably frustrated too. Will be fun though. Like moving into a new house. -

My dog Toby cracked me up last night. A friend came around to visit (and brought food!) and also brought her dog, Bundy. At one stage during the evening we were sitting about in front of the telly (yes, I know, I lead a terribly exciting life) when Bundy decided to hop up next to me. Finished updating the First Aid course this evening. Pain in the neck thing - and who's idea was it to have it over two days after a normal work day... Would have been so much better to have had a pupil free day and we could have gotten it over and done with and none of this coming home in the dark and eating dinner at 8 o'clock at night. Came home from work today and took the dog for a walk. Nothing unusual about that, you say... Yeah, except I was walking around the neighbourhood the whole time with my fly undone! Does that count as a "senior moment" or am I just secretly an exhibitionist?
