Um try listening to the band Rilo Kiley. They are an indie band that I think are very good and talented. As for books i would recommend Lolita and The Road.
And thank you for your suggestion. While it's a little outside the sort of thing I usually listen to, I really enjoyed "With Arms Outstretched". I'll dig around, see what else Rilo Kiley's done. My brother's heavily into indie music, maybe he has the CDs.

I was actually looking at The Graveyard Book last time I was at Sam Wellers -the night I picked up Boneshaker, actually. I do want to read it. I'm not entirely sure what stopped me (other than the fact it was a hardback, probably).
I have no idea what to expect from Sabriel. I'll take a look.
As for Vachss - gimme a title to start from, and I'll mull it over. I have plenty of material to pull me back out of the despair pit.
I'm within twenty pages of finishing it. I'll be done with it by tomorrow at the latest. :) Thank you. I love Nutt. He reminds me of my old IK character Doyle.
I've heard good things about the Dies the fire books by S. M. Stirling. I just finished The child Theif by Brom it's a very dark retelling of peter pan
