If anyone is wondering how I've been able to start playing FF again with a broken PS2, the simple answer is... it doesn't seem to be broken anymore :P. R.I.P. PS2
I think my Playstation 2 is finally dead. I logged onto FFXI for the first time in 2 weeks on Friday, but noticed that my PS2 was resetting every hour or so while I was playing. Engaged!
Well, I finally took the plunge. Almost exactly 7 years to the day since we met, and after living together for 2.5 years, Mary and I are getting hitched :). We just got back from a week-long sailing vacation in the British Virgin Islands where I proposed to her here on April 25. I'm feeling excited, happy, and a little bit overwhelmed now. -

New toys are fun
I just got my birthday present from Mary, a portable car GPS that can also play mp3's. Aside from sometimes taking a long time to acquire a satellite signal, it works great! I already used the built-in yellow pages to discover a really good Viet/Thai restaurant near work that I didn't know about before, and it gave me accurate turn-by-turn ( Read more... ) -

My old apartment-mate Raj was in town last night (he lives in Chicago now), so a bunch of us got together and went out for drinks at Redbones in Davis Square.
