So, I saw Superbad today, and it brought my list of movies that I've rated up to 800. If I keep going at my current rate, I should hit 1,000 sometime in November or December of 2008.

Here's my list of random movie awards/musings for the year. I'm pretty sure this is my first one of the year, at least.

Hot Fuzz has been one of my favorites so far as well. I showed it for my weekly film clubs showing two weeks ago - about 20 people came and they mostly loved it as well. My favorite party is when Angel's sidekick blows the foot off of the doctor and Angel says

"You're a doctor... *deal with it*"
"Yeah motherfucker!"

Or Paddy Constinine getting hit with a batch of spaghetti sauce

Haha yeah, with the camera swooping around all crazy.

My favorite bit was the "Yarrp. Yarrp. ...narrp?" scene.
