First, the bad news. Yesterday a particularly stubborn mass of effluvia stopped up my toilet so severely that the bowl overflowed. A brave pipe snake gave its life to clear that passage and send the errant turd to its final abode. The aftermath was the worst part

You should lock your doors at night regartless

Do you know for sure if he's been arrested? If not, I'd still make sure everything around the house is buttoned up at night.

If I can get confirmation that he's safely behind bars, I won't make an effort to lock up the house. The weather is still nice enough that we want to open windows and leave doors ajar occasionally and other than him nobody even knows the house is here to rob.
