Well, it's been awhile since I did an update...so I figured the first day of school would be a good time to do so ;-P
Alot has happened since the last update...can't remember when that was exactly...but alot has been going on around here! David left for Ft Benning at the end of July, one day after his birthday. He took two days to drive down and ( Read more... ) -

HHG were finished packing up last Thursday, we stayed on the air mattresses for the weekend but that sucked! So, Monday we moved from the house into the Comfort Inn so that we could finish up the house and sleep on a REAL bed (those air mattresses just weren't cutting it). Friday was 6th grade graduation and awards ceremony at Arctic Light. We got to watch Kaitlyn graduate the 6th grade and see the awards ceremony for the 4th - 6th graders. It was fun - in addition to her graduating she got an award for the "A" honor roll AND the Principal's Coint - of course she was embarassed when Mr. W mentioned that she had ( Read more... ) -
Sunday highlights...
David and I realized that Alaskans are VERY resourceful...they take stuff ("junk" to some) and turn it into other stuff.
I am tired of the lack of shopping options here in Fairbanks...maybe AK for that matter.
Our neighbor vacuumed her driveway this afternoon - WTF??

Early morning
Ahhh gotta love the fact that we are getting more daylight each day - sucks when it wakes me up at 6:15 though. I don't notice so much during the week because I am up for work early, but waking up early on the weekend isn't so much fun.

80 days...
We will be ON THE ROAD in 80 days...I cannot believe it. So much to do that I don't even know where to start! I had originally planned to focus on one room or area of the house each weekend. That was supposed to start 2 weekends ago, I bet you can guess that it hasn't happened yet. I feel overwhelmed - we have accumulated so much stuff since we ( Read more... ) -
Ft Bragg
We just found out last night we are headed to Bragg...the kids and I will be there before David leaves for OCS and his other schools - David will join us after they are all complete (early 2009).
The fun begins! We are researching areas around Fayettville, schools, etc...talk about being nervous!
