My step brother's wife was killed on Saturday. We weren't very close but seriously this is screwed up.

I'm really sick of my job. I'm sick of all the Saturdays I need to work and how it's near impossible to switch. Well, my event is over. People seemed to have a really good time and enjoyed the food. The courses came out on time, the food pacing worked well. However turnout was a lot lower than expected and I lost over $300. It really gets me bummed out about throwing events. How can you possibly throw an event if you don't know how many people will show up ( Read more... )

So in event prep I needed to find a recipe for a sugar free spice cake that doesn't taste like crap or have some terrible texture. This became a very difficult task as I was not willing to put in a pound of butter.

So it's occurred to me that my life is not what I planned, but it's good.

I, on my 27th birthday, just went to a professional hairdresser, for the first time in my life.

And I was only brave enough to let her trim two inches off. (Well, two inches off one side a half inch off the other.)
