I pull up in my driveway on Saturday afternoon, engine idling while I wait for the npr story to end before turning off my car. Suddenly, I hear this weird noise right out the back passenger window. I turn to look and see a turkey staring right at me. Then a second turkey head pops up next to it and they're both staring me down.

My plan to lure adorable kidlets in costume through my Boo!-pumpkin worked like a charm. Many a pretty princess, glittery fairy, walking skeleton, ninja, and transformer came to our door. I don't know what I did but my car karma this year fucking sucks. Silver lining this time around, my car is at least drivable so it should be repairable, rather than another total loss. *facepalm*

I want this year to be over already.

After much thought, haggling, and dealing with douchey salesmen, I present my new car. It's a 2007 Toyota Yaris. 91k miles. :D
