Yes it does, but that's not a bad thing.
Just remember, it's the geeks who have all the money now (hey, take a look a Bill Gates and tell me he's not a geek).

Still, labels given by others have no meaning. Labels we chose for ourselves are little more than way to help others understand that we do have an identity, even if we have to fold, spindle, mutilate, and catagorize it for their comprehension.
