I've been doing it for years now.  Hiding it hoping no one ever figures out what I'm doing.  I've seen the websites, I'm even a member on one or two.  Still I feel like I can't tell people that I'm doing it too.

To answer the questions: yes and no. I'm the type of person who is very honest about their hobbies, opinions, feelings, etc., so I have no qualms about telling others that I read and write fanfiction. And, so far, no one has counted it against me.
