[Oh. Romano. Touchy subject there. She's going to try tact, but... knowing Rita, it's pretty much trial and error. Lots of error. :/]
What, you're going to let someone else judge?
Humph. I wouldn't have gotten very far if I followed that pattern of thought. I study magic, actually. Or rather, I study the thing that lets us to magic. It's called a 'blastia' - you wouldn't have heard of it, I'll bet. But to use it, you'll need to know your math pretty well, so - I guess you can say it's my perfect area of study.
... Yeah, I guess not. Just... think about it like he's gone to a better place. I wouldn't want anyone I cared about to be stuck in Somarium, of all places.
[Too late, though. Estelle was here far before she arrived, and.]
Yeah, well, from what I've heard, you've always protected him, right? No wonder he can't fight for himself.
[Okay, Rita, that definitely didn't come out the way you intended it. >( Shame on you.]
... But yeah, I've noticed them. Kinda hard not to. They remind me of monster howls, actually, but... it could be just the wind. The chances that it's just that, though, is pretty slim - I don't know what to think, to tell you the truth.
Um...

... what?

Heh, sorry Rita. I just couldn't understand your dream, that's all. I didn't mean to bother you.
Reply
No offense, but you don't seem like the math type, so... I'm not too surprised that you didn't get any of that.
Reply
Nah, not me. I don't really need to know it, you know? And it's not very easy...For me anyway.
[He shrugs, unconcerned.]
You must be good at it, though~!
Reply
Yeah, I know. It's not like calculus is going to help any during negotiations. Might as well stick with the things you can do, right?
But yeah, I'm pretty good.
Reply
Mm, yeah. Though according to Romano, I'm not good at much.
[He doesn't seem too bothered; Romano says things like that all the time.]
So what do you do back at your home, then? I mean, you're really smart and your really good at math...

No~
Romano's just kind of like that. I'm good at some things and bad at others.
[Shrugs again. Then he smiles]
I see! You must be pretty important then, if magic's such a big deal in your world~!
[Compliments everywhere. It's a Spanish thing. xD]

Huh. Well, at least you've got that straight. No one's perfect, you know? We just work with what we've got.
[Not used to Spanish culture here, so, cue paranoia. 8D]
... I'm pretty renowned, yeah. But what's that got to do with anything? You implying something?
Reply
Huh?
[Aw, and now he's confused again.]
Implying...? No, I don't think so...?
Reply
... Whatever.
... Are you okay now, then?
Reply
Ah...Yeah.
[He nods and manages a small smile.]
I'll...miss him, you know? And I really hope that he's okay...But it doesn't do any good to be sad here.

But...Have you heard the noises and everything? It doesn't sound very good...
[He's oblivious to Rita's worry about her own friend. Nor has he met Estelle, so...xD;;]
