I HAVE ARRIVED IN EDINBURGH. IT IS LOVELY AND QUAINT AND I HAVEN'T SLEPT IN 27 HOURS. I am actually hallucinating, which is even less fun when you are being driven on the WRONG SIDE OF THE ROAD and are eternally convinced you will run into oncoming traffic :o

I am amazed I made it here. I have no idea what time or day it is or how long I've been ( Read more... )

I was gonna say 'OMG we're on the same island!' but then I remembered that I'm still in Moscow, LOL.

GET SOME SLEEP. Or you'll start hallucinating sheep everywhere. Wait, are you sure there really were sheep grazing? :P

It ended up being 36 straight hours. Yes. But having done that, I suffered no jetlag the next day!

Aww, I'm always so excited for people who decide to study abroad. It really is such an amazing experience, one you're never going to forget. The sleep deprivation sucks now, but you'll look back on it with a smile.

I keep hearing that, and I know this intense panic will abate soon and I'll be thrilled to be here, so yay :)! Where did you go?

Fun! I was torn between Scotland and Ireland (I actually just sort of chose arbitrarily >_> With, uh, help from wikipedia. Galway was a close second but they didn't provide student housing) and I have a friend going to Dublin. She's a vegan and doesn't drink, it's going to be hilarious.

Giggling to yourself is okay. When the hysterical laughter stars, then you really know you've gone crazy.

OMG EDINBURGH, THE CITY I LOVE BUT CAN'T SPELL ITS NAME, I ENVY YOUR LIFE!

it happened today.

AHAHAHAHAHA.

As long as you don't pronounce it "edinburGGGGG" we can still be friends. And it's okay, my dad spells it "Edenbourg" sometimes. It changes.

Not TOTALLY alone - I'm so happy my Bryn Mawr friend came with me, or I'd probably be weeping in my room all day :P But it's still quite the growing experience!

HOMG HOMG I CANNOT WAIT FOR YOU TO COME. FOR SERIOUS. The bus to St. Andrews is NOT expensive at all and it's going to be super. JUST SUPER.
