I couldn't watch this (stupid work computer), but the premise was enough (attached to Mike Mignola's name) to make me want to see it.
"Emperor Zombie" is a great name for an Archnemesis. It reminds me a bit of "Casanova Frankenstein" from Mystery Men
I wish they would make a sequel to MM, but it was a box office flop. The cast of MM was great! Ben Stiller, Janeane Garofalo, Will H. Macy, Hank Azaria, Geoffrey Rush, Greg Kinear. Where did it go wrong? I blame the audience's lack of appreciation for "tongue in cheek" humor about the Super Hero Universe. (see also: "The Tick", "The X-Statix" Comic)
"My Super-Ex Girlfriend" might tango with this brand of humor, but the movie looks to be a "Hell hath no fury..." parade of revenge-gags and will poke fun at a super woman's irrational behavior in the face of rejection. I don't think I'll see this one.
