I've noticed a trend with the dining commons menus as of late. Often times they serve something which I have never heard of before, usually I can make one out part like "chicken" but get lost with the rest of the terms like "with Tasso Creole Sauce." Ah, not!
There also looks like a "wide" variety in "styles" and "countries." I don't think I have ever seen Miso Soup (Japanese tofu and seaweed soup, very tasty) on a menu at our dinning commons.

Thats what the dining commons at UNH are like. I pretty much always skip over the "main courses" section and make an alternative from the other stations. I've gone weeks with just eating cereal.
