Okay guys, I am seriously sucking it up. I've been doing good at water, and I did the 30 minute exercise on Wednesday, but other than that, I've got nuffin. Some veggies but not enough, a handful of calesthenics when I remember, around 5 hours of sleep a night, no breakfast, and giving in to cravings like no other ( Read more... )

I've been kind of falling down on the veggies front, myself. This is mostly because I hate vegetables, so it's hard for me to convince myself to eat them...I've been eating more fruit, but not my 5 servings ( ... )

There's a girl that I know that exercises twice a week, so that's how I get that down, but other than that I don't really have any friends that live nearby - I pretty much go from home to work, work to home. So it's a lot of keeping myself motivated and keeping myself in check, and I'm just really good at cheating.

I liked the veggie burger idea for veggies that was posted earlier so I might start doing that - I love burgers so if I turn that into a snack, without the bread, that'll help me boost.

I've been doing poorly as well lately, but.....I've been refilling my diet coke bottle with water....and having a small bottle of juice at the same time. That way....I can take a drink of juice when I'm like OMG water and then go back to water again.

With calisthenics...I've had trouble where I am now having back spasms due to a tumble down the stairs. My target area is my arms, but I've been doing leg lifts instead....while laying on the floor with my lap top or a book (or watching CSI with my mom) heehee. I find I'm more likely to do them if I am distracting myself....

Yeah, a couple of times I've done toe raises while I'm reading my email at work and stuff, it's just the consistancy that's killing me, y'know?

Yeah I go from really high point days to really low point days and back and forth. I'm going to start walking with my mom soon so I am hoping that with her to be like....'let's go' it will be more motivational.

I've been doing great for veggies! ...if chips count. And water! ...if you exclude the teaspoon of KoolAid powder in each glass.

I think the only reason I've been getting an hour of exercise a day is because I refuse to stock up on junk food. If I want chocolate, I make myself walk to the store to get it.

Also, why do you skip breakfast? Is it breakfast food that you don't like, or is it the preparation time? Or does it make you sick, to eat too early in the morning?

It's a time thing. I need to be at work around 10, and I usually don't roll out of bed until 9:30 - which isn't a problem since I live a 30 second walk to work, but it is when it comes to breakfast. For a while I was getting a baggie of cheerioes and eating them dry, but I ran out and haven't bought more, so I'm slacking again.

Now that I think about it, I walk right by the cafeteria on the way to work, so I could stop there, it just means getting up a couple minutes earlier. I think it all comes down to the not sleeping.

Ah! I have the same problem then. I have about half an hour to get ready, too. Also, I'm lazy, especially in the AM.

Do any of these ideas help?: Cereal bars/Nutrigrain bars, instant oatmeal, egg salad sandwiches(I make mine the night before), bananas(or any fruit, really), toast, frozen waffles/pancakes?

I should do something like cereal bars and just keep them in my office - that way I don't even have to remember them on my way out.

I'm doing badly enough that I just stopped counting and will start over on the 15th. This was, I think, mostly due to the bus commute from hell for my intersession class, which ended today.

I know I more than did my steps, but I forgot to put my pedometer on so I have no idea of the actual number (I know I've walked at least six miles today in particular). My food and sleep have been screwy and I've been horrible about water and about calisthenics. But well, passing this class had to take priority. :P Now that it's done and I'm going to be in a more normal routine and NOT on the bus four hours a day, I think it'll be OK.

I've just been having trouble being like "hmmmmmm, I don't need to add this to my weak foods list, because...... I don't eat it that often..." so I end up eating unhealthy foods without taking any sort of penalty for it.
