[ Lior is passing by with a pumpkin in her hands when she spots the man, not entirely sure she has seen him before. He must have been new to the city or something. He looks...lost? She's not sure, so she decides to head over to greet him. ]

Hello. Do you need any help?

[ He halts, turns toward her. Line of sight isn't important, but he's accustomed to making sure someone knows he's 'looking' at them. The question prompts a grin. ]

Hi. Uh, not really. Unless you can tell me what's going on here? I mean, more than just... 'Ritornare de Fias'?

I was told by a few friends of mine that this is kind of like Halloween. I've never heard of it, personally, but apparently people go around in costumes and go 'trick or treating' to get candy. There's pumpkin carving, too, which I've been trying to do, but I'm not very good at it. [ Not that he can see the off-kilter face she's cut out of her pumpkin, but she doesn't know that. ]

Yeah, I can smell the pumpkin from here. [ He shrugs. ] Definitely sounds like Halloween to me, but they're early.

When is Halloween suppose to be? [ Humans have weird holidays. ] It seems like such a strange holiday.

Last day of October. Nowadays, it's just an excuse to trick-or-trick and party for most people. I don't know a whole lot more about it myself.

Oh. Well it's close enough, I suppose. Either way, people seem to be enjoying themselves. It looks like everyone has more or less gotten over those monsters attacking.

Were you here for that? I don't think I've seen you around before.

No, I'm pretty new here. I heard about the monsters, though, not to mention everyone going pretty crazy just a few days ago...

Unfortunately things like that are common here. Thankfully no one was hurt.

Once every few months maybe? It wasn't bad until lately, then a bunch of stuff happened at once. I'm hoping it will calm down for a while now...I wouldn't worry about it though.

You weren't forced into a costume, were you? [ Because she was, ] Or did you not want to wear one?

Little hard not to, you know?

Nah, didn't feel like it. Costumes aren't really my thing. No point for me.

Maybe I'm just use to it by now...but, really, this place isn't bad all the time! I met a lot of great people here.

I'll take your word for it. Maybe I just haven't been here long enough. [ Not that he wants to stay here.

He waves up toward his face. ] Well, yeah. It's hard to enjoy a bunch of costumes when you can't actually see them.

Maybe. Like I said, I'm probably just use to it. [ She shrugs though.

And then she just stares, not really understanding until he outright says it. ] Oh! I'm sorry, I didn't know! [ That would explain why he didn't say anything about how she looked. ]
