Fluff, fluff and lots more fluff. Daejae fluff is the most perf, kay?

Previous Chapter

It wasn’t that much of a secret that Himchan and Youngjae were two that got along the least. Youngjae was quite conservative and quite traditional in the sense that he often clashed with Himchan. Sometimes, everyone thought that the elder man did it on purpose, just to irritate the poor vocalist, but other times, it wasn’t done on purpose. Himchan simply spoke without thinking a lot of the time. Regardless if he liked messing with the members, he never had the intention to hurt anyone or cause them upset. He wasn’t that cruel of a person.

They had made it up to the roof in a matter of minutes. Of course, it had been more of Youngjae storming up here and Daehyun hadn’t even hesitated before following. They were always there for one another and it was an unspoken agreement between them to keep it that way. Daehyun never minded, of course. He actually preferred to help his friend out in this way. This was a position he was happily obliged to fill.

“Himchan’s mouth is too big.” Youngjae stated. They both were on the roof once again, this time as the sun was setting in the early months of fall and the cool breeze drifted over them. Daehyun was sitting against the wall that Youngjae rest his elbows on, giving a soft chuckle and nod. It was probably wrong to be amused by your friend’s annoyance, but sometimes…sometimes Daehyun simply found it too cute not to find Youngjae amusing when he was like this.

“I agree.”

“I mean-“ Youngjae turned to look down at his best friend. “-Why doesn’t he ever shut up? He is always brash and crude! I hate that he’s so crude! Jundola is only fifteen, hyung!” This wasn’t the first time that the elder man had been witness to the complaints of his best friend and he really couldn’t put blame on him. It was out of worry for the kid that they debuted with who was still, y’know, a kid. “Well, aren’t you going to say anything?!” Youngjae yelled to Daehyun.

Said man glanced up with an amused smile that didn’t annoy Youngjae. Hardly anything Daehyun did annoyed Youngjae and that wasn’t something he gave much thought into because it never really mattered to him for whatever reason. But then when it came to Himchan…the younger man nearly snarled at the thought alone.

The man smiled gently. “Can I speak now?” Youngjae flushed a bright red and so Daehyun took that as the ‘okay’ to talk. “You’re right. The things that Himchan says are mostly inappropriate,” The look on Youngjae’s face would usually scare Daehyun, but he wasn’t finished speaking. “But you walked out early and didn’t see Yongguk-hyung punch him. You know the leader is always watching out for that kid. He would do anything to preserve our maknae’s innocence.” He gently tugged on Youngjae’s sweatpants. The younger man then sat. Both of their backs were now to the wall. “I understand why you’re angry. I was irritated, too. But you have to let Yongguk take care of things. When it comes to Himchan, he’s like the only one who can keep him in line.”

“He’s stupid.”

Daehyun laughed and Youngjae was once again giving that face again, the face that would usually end up in Daehyun having yet another bruise on his arm or chest. Youngjae was quite a violent one half the time and he wondered what made that so, but it wasn’t like he could just ask his friend to stop hitting him. He had done that once…Youngjae had told him that he should stop being stupid.

“Ow!” Daehyun laughed out as the hand smacked across his chest. He rubbed the area that would soon be sore. He could just feel it. “Alright, alright. I’m sorry…you’re just so cute sometimes.” Neither of them commented on that, but the younger singer did end up hitting his friend again while his cheeks were covered in a soft flush of embarrassment. “Shit, why do I even attempt to talk?”

“I still wonder that.” Youngjae retorted, but it was still in good humor.

“You’re an ass-fuck!” Daehyun had seen that one coming, the smack against the same place as the two previous ones had been. There’s definitely going to be a bruise now. “Anyways-he is stupid. But that’s why we love him. He’s stupid and impulsive, but he’s our friend.” Daehyun always was logical when Youngjae needed him to be. He lifted his arm to wrap it around Youngjae’s shoulder, giving him comfort and bringing him closer. He didn’t continue until the other man’s head was resting on his shoulder. “Do you feel better now, precious boy?” The whole ‘precious boy’ thing had come habit between them, but just between them. They didn’t use ‘precious boy’ or ‘mister’ in front of anyone else. Neither knew why but Daehyun took notice of the blushes that always adorned his best friend’s face when he was called that and noticed how he was never called ‘mister’ when others were around and so deduced that it wouldn’t be appropriate for him to do it.

Youngjae nodded.

“Do I have to apologize?” Daehyun could hear the pout in his friend’s tone and yet didn’t laugh this time.

“I don’t think so…Yongguk-hyung will probably make him apologize for upsetting you.”

“I’m not upset!” Youngjae huffed, lifting his head up and glaring at his friend with that face. Daehyun then turned to look at him with a raised brow, not saying a single word and instead placing his hand atop his friend’s head to guide it back to his shoulder.

Silence ensued for a little while, the sounds of the city peaceful and calming them both. Youngjae could feel himself dozing off for a small catnap against his friend and within his friend’s arms.

“I’m a little upset…” He muttered very softly and Daehyun nodded. Tipping his head back, the elder man rested it against the concrete wall and looked up to the sky that was taking on a beautiful orange and pink hue that evening. He didn’t mind sitting here until Youngjae woke.
