By far the drunkenest, stupidest, wildest, funnest night of my semester. And damn, the hangover feels good. In a tired, satisfied kind of way. I SO needed that.

Maybe I'm not ready to be appreciated. Is that why I'm not interested in the one person who actually might?

Applications are officially done for awhile - yay!!! I mailed the French one off today, so now I can concentrate on my thesis. I'm up to page 17. Thus tonight's goal - the 20-page benchmark. Wish me luck!!

P.S. I hate being a hermit, so leave me lots of lj and facebook messages to make me feel special and loved. :)

I sent off my JET application today. DAMN that feels good! I also finished the entire book I had to read for German, finished my French TA application (it's ready for mailing as soon as I get a travel physical on Wednesday and receive my other recommendation), which was harder than it sounds, and am preparing to continue work on my thesis well into ( Read more... )

Thanksgiving break was lovely, short, and unproductive, but on the good side, I nearly finished the application for the French govt. teaching assistantship. Of course, it took all of 15 minutes, but nonetheless, it feels good to have that done. I still have to write two mini-essays for it, but that won't prove too difficult. I have spent today wallowing in the sweetness of old memories and indulging in a little hard-earned melancholy rather than writing on my thesis. I don't regret it, really. Everyone deserves to let themselves feel sad sometimes.
