my uncle called yesterday morning to tell us that my grandma (dad's side) passed away that morning.. she was 88.. which is old but not that old..i definitely did not expect to hear that from him tho.. its a little bit unreal i guess, i've never knew anyone close to me who passed away.. well. there was marco... but anyway.. im glad i got to go to

I'm sorry to hear that Jenny. A while back my grandfather (mom's father) died. I remember going back for the funeral and not feeling anything. He was someone I had only seen a few times, the only one's I was old enough to remember were while he was in a smelly nursing home I didn't enjoy visiting. The funneral didn't really mean much to me. It was only later, visiting his grave with my mom that I realized some of the sadness that was encapsulated in his passing.
