I just got dropped off at home by NYPD after being robbed. So, it's kind of funny because people are disappointed with Spiderman 3 and the things there saying are basically how I felt about the first two films: corny, melodramatic, kind of stupid, underwhelming. Paul Greengrass's United 93 is a flat out excellent movie. It accomplishes exactly what it sets out to in a powerful and intellegent way. Much like Greengrass's Bloody Sunday, it is a perfect distillment of a disturbing and important slice of history. Fucking crazy movie, I don't think I was quite prepared for this. It's basically about Suburban dystopia and adultery, but with some crazy twists and really unique storytelling and directing (from the director of In The Bedroom).
