That's really unfortunate for John. As we all know break ups can get sticky, especially with mutual friends. It sucks that he didn't ask for help but obviously he's lonely and hopes you'll come to the rescue at this point. Of course, he probably won't make it easy on you at first. Eventually it'll settle.

yeah, i talked to him last night and he admitted he was just in a fit of rage that night/yesterday too. and i understand. if you're with someone for five years no matter what the circumstances of the break up, it's going to be painful. but it just sucks cuz now he doesn't want to move back to miami because he doesn't want to see mavis...

i'm sure some more time would change his perspective.

honestly, I think John is the type of guy that let's his emotions get the best of him. Now I know I don't know him as well as you do, but that's my opinion. You're right, he will understand that certain things happen as time passes. I think he knew this would happen and that's really why he's more mad than he should be. Plus, he cant stop us from driving up there and forcing him to hang out with us.
