“It’s like traveling with the vanishing hitchhiker,” Miran said, as his hand clenched the steering wheel. He watched the traffic with a steely gaze that told Soliva he was holding something back. "Delicate" was the first word that came to my mind. I like the way you weave the landscape with not just the conversation, but also what's happening to each of them inside. I also like the way you juxtaposed the vanishing hitchhiker to Solvia...what I want to say is on the tip of my tongue...argh...

It's beautiful. And now you've got me intrigued with this novel you're writing ;)

I filled this entry with transient ideas- the melting ice, the car blowing on the highway, the disappearing hitchhiker, the virgin landscape, et al. Whenever I mentioned something strong, like love or Miran's steely gaze at the beginning, I tried to show it at a breaking point, but in a peaceful, muted way.

I'm really glad you enjoyed this. Of all my entries so far, I put more of myself in this one.

Thank you, my friend! Looks like I'll be all right this week after all. I was really nervous- no one has written a piece of straight fiction really so far. Esp. something as transient as this.

You know, I love storytellers who are able to use descriptions of great beauty without overpowering a paragraph. Not only was this a good entry in concept, but it was incredibly well crafted.
