Pssh, walkthroughs are nothing to be ashamed of, I've used them since I was a little kid when they were called "Nintendo Power", and I still use them now that they're called "GameFAQs". :)

The joy of this game is the multiple origin stories and how it changes how everyone reacts to you, so it feels at least a little new and fresh every time.

I'd advise playing a rogue next time, and seeing if that helps.

And, if you can get into Zevran's tent, he most likely won't backstab you. Don't worry, he's an easy lay, and doesn't even care which sex you are.
