I'm fussy with eHarmony.com. Over winter break, I decided I was going to use their website to find me a woman. But I couldn't because they had no option for "woman seeking woman." Or "man seeking man," for that matter. I went to the FAQs and they had some bullshit posted about how their philosophy was based on years worth of scientific data ( Read more... )

I've heard that if you put that you are an atheist, you will not get any matches...something about being "family friendly" and as such they don't know how to deal with athiests and apparently gay people (I think their goal is to get people married, so that might be the issue). There was a long slashdot discussion about this, here's a relevant section.

That's really shitty.

As it is, I've known a few people who have tried using that site, and they have been told that they are unable to match them with anyone. Their commercials really annoyed me, too.
