Happy St. Cyril and Methodius Day!
It's after midnight, so let me be the first to wish you a happy one. Yes, if you're new to this journal in the past year the Catholic church officially dumped St. Valentine in the 60s on the basis he never existed. But Saints Cyril and Methodius carried the gospel to the Russias and invented the cyrillic alphabet!

Oh Ugly Betty, how I love you
Not sure why I loved Thursday's ep so much, but I did. For one thing, Claire really moved me a couple times. First her joy at her child being alive totally out weighing anything else and then her talks with Betty. It was so unexpectedly touching. I did something on a Friday night
No, no, not anything social. The apocolypse hasn't hit yet, it's okay. S was supposed to help her brother (who's studying film) out on a project he was doing for school but he had a technical delay and consequently she wasn't going to be able to do it before work. TV Commentary
First off: I don't even watch Scrubs but I heart the musical episode. (Also, on that note: Roommate played me the soundtrack for "Once more with Feeling" and I was amused)

I didn't watch the Golden Globes but I feel I must let out a Huzzah for Ugly Betty and for America Ferrara. -
Random ponderings on diversity in television
So this only came to mind because I just saw the nomination list for the NAACP image awards and there was mention that they don't award daytime dramas (only actors from daytime dramas) because of underrepresentation on soap operas. And it's true. African American's are severely underrepresented on most soaps as are Asians, homosexuals and just ( Read more... ) -
