Yep. This is a story that hasn't left my head since the first day it was posted on ff.net. So full of youth and hope and life even among the tears. And if you've reduced me to trite sentences like that, you must have done a brilliant job.

What's most amazing is the objectivity you have on your subject. For mere mortals, that kind of perspective is the result of decades of contemplation. That's a real gift you have there.

Hope this one gets recced far and wide. It deserves it.

I suck at commenting so if this is the first time you have seen my name don't be shocked. I have read quite a bit of your work and I think you are lovely. I do not read original characters or even really Draco stories However... I really liked this piece. It showed more of Draco's character than I would have expected. Her character was endearing without being over bearing so she sereved as a nice backdop to his inner monoloague. I also really liked his memories of Muggle studeis filtered in and how they stand alone as memories without tying up the story. Well written, well plotted, good job.

This is one of my favorite fics ever. I love the carefully placed juxtapositions between Alecto's Muggle Studies and Draco's muggle romance, how Draco behaves is in this liminal space, but most of all your writing style. Based on the quality of the writing alone I’d recommend it, even if the person wasn't a huge fan of Draco or the series because it’s just a good, bittersweet story ( ... )
