The doctor told Dad on the phone that his blood sugar (fasting test) was elevated, around 106 Dad thought he said.  His cholesterol is also up, but his thyroid is just fine.  The doctor claimed that the tumor marker tests weren't back yet, but that he'd have them for their follow up appointment Friday (tomorrow).  The doctor did say that he'd

How does Western medical training manage to produce such an amazing number of fuckchops for doctors? I'm sorry that in addition to the stress of feeling/being sick your dad also has to deal with such a doctor...it makes the already difficult so much more unpleasant for everyone involved.
