Ode to Michael Shanks

If only Hollywood had the brains to discover this man. He has an enormous fan following. He has talent, but he needs a challenge and characters he can believe. He enjoys playing bad boys, but give him an honorable character with reasons to delve into the dark side, and he’ll take the audience’s breath away. Take his clothes off and the audience ( Read more... )

It's already in progress, angstie! Check out the SGC Squared website and you'll find Stargate: Explorer already has a splash page, complete with graphic. The story is in the works, but it promises to be more of a virtual series than a single story. I've been discussing the arc and writing a little here and there, as my health permits, but it's got my full attention. I love Daniel, and will not let his memory die quietly. There will be angst, drama, action, philosophy and nekkidness. Daniel will be treated as he so deserves, central to the storyline, fully explored as a character, with all the possibilities that the stargate presents examined and properly utilized ( ... )

First, I must apologize profusely for making my inquiry via LJ and to a post that isn't related much to my inquiry. I tried contacting you via your gmail addy but it came back with a failure notice "unable to be delivered to recipient" message so I made sure I had the correct LJ for you before making the inquiry here. I'm so sorry for any inconvenience this post may cause and again for making the inquiry through this route.

Now on to my inquiry...

I run the Daniel/Vala Archive and am actively seeking authors who are willing to submit their works to the archive. I saw that recently you have completed a story with this pairing and was wondering if you would be interested in adding your story to the site. If not I understand and would like to thank you for your time.

If you're interested in seeing the archive here's the link:

Thank you so much for your time and please take care!

Sincerely,

Stacy L.

Sure thing, Stacy. You have my permission to grab Crown of Janus from my website and put it on the Daniel/Vala site, and thanks for asking! I hope you enjoyed the story, and I'll be correcting the email link soon. Thanks for the heads-up on that.

Hi! Thank you so much for getting back to me! : D

I'm sorry for my delayed reply I've been working overtime the whole weekend and have just now been able to get to my computer. Busy, busy weekend!

Thank you for giving me permission to include your story on the archive. It's much appreciated! And yes I loved the story (I also love that icon by the way!) : D

There is an LJ community list for the archive if you're interested in joining it. It's not a requirement though. I created it to provide authors with another route to submit stories and as a place where I can make update announcements for the archive and post site information if necessary (ie when the site is down for maintenance etc). It's not a requirement that you have to join it I just wanted to make you aware of it. : D

Here's the link if you're interested:

Hi there. :) I found your LJ when trying to find your newest story, and just wanted to tell you that I cannot wait for "Stargate: Explorer"--it's a fantastic premise and I know it'll be well-written since you're behind it.

FTR, I don't think I ever FB'ed you on the symbiote sex scene in PoW part 4...holy moly, I NEVER thought I'd see such a thing. I probably also never FB'ed you on the other stuff you've written that I loved--I have read a number of your stories over and over again and love them to pieces. I don't suppose anyone has ever drawn/manip'ed Etienne?

Gushing over. Thanks for sharing your talents with us.

A tortured artist, formerly with the Stargate Program, the US government’s clandestine remote viewing unit.

This actually existed...you mean a remote viewing unit? Remote viewing to me is something like astral projection--is that what you mean by it?

Yes, the US government actually had a remote viewing unit, back in the 70's, if I remember correctly. For those who don't know, remote viewing is a psychic talent, a trainable skill, in which the "viewer" is asked to picture a mental image of whatever is at a specific geographical location, often specified by longitude and latitude. The accuracy of the viewers was well over 50% (which is phenomenal in itself), but the training was expensive and the government decided to cancel the program abruptly. While they were able to acquire some amazing intelligence data (such as what's inside secret foreign military installations, for one example), they considered the premise of the program to be unscientific, and withdrew funding. There are still a few remote viewers out there, and the training material is still under lock and key. I saw a documentary on it a few years back, and it knocked my socks off, set my imagination on fire, and I have a story premise tucked away in my queue, waiting patiently to be written one day. There's public ( ... )

Re-reading is the highest compliment you can pay an author, so thank you very much. (This is my first ever "holy moly" -- thanks!)

And no, no one has ever drawn/manipped Etienne. I keep intending to, but I have a day job that I need to keep for some reason and never have enough time to do all the writing/drawing/manipping I want to do. If you know anyone who does that sort of thing, though, it would be great to have a pic to put up with the story!
