From the moment I noticed Char got more screen time than usual in the first few moments of this ep I knew she's the one who would be Auf'ed later on. It's the oldest trick in the reality competition hand book... and PR is still using it ( ... )

Yep, you can always tell who's going to go by the editing. Poor Char! The only time she gets attention, it's to get the boot. Sandhya wouldn't have been booted becuase of her past wins and the crafty work that went into the design - it wasn't good, but it wasn't awful. Why didn't they mix up that color? I was surprised by TIm's comments as well.

The judges often have no idea what's going on behind the scnees. You didn't like Fade's? I thought he was the best again.

The blogger was a total bust. I guess they're trying to get hip. Good luck with that.

I LOVED Fade's design actually. It was brilliant. But he didn't stand a chance this time because he was paired with Emily and her very weird 'garment.'

Sandhya wouldn't have been booted because of her past wins and the crafty work that went into the design

But then last season's 'come back girl' (Kate?) won quite a few times right from the start and got booted just before the 'top 6' so you never know...

The judges often have no idea what's going on behind the scenes

They might not know during the actual taping of an ep but the producers know, right? I mean they have inserted a segment of Kini's 'confessional' where he said he was robbed/ Oh, well...

A wedding dress in 10 hours? Even David's Bridal couldn't do that. So why are the judges surprised at the wretched results ( ... )

It's so ridiculous. It's also sad that this show is more designed toward letting the judges get upset than to actually produce good work.

Char, just seeing how she pinned random patches of fabric all over the skirt, and left the buttocks exposed underneath

Ugh, what WAS that on both?

And, yeah, I totally agree about Kini, although the wedding dress was better than the reception clothes anyway. They're just trying to stir up resentment again. This show sux.

I also think she is a fake and so full of herself.

I KNOW RIGHT?! That so pissed me off when that stupid pop-up thing came up and everyone piled on Amanda. SHE'S ABSOLUTELY RIGHT.

I know it was cliche, but I still like Emily's vampire clothes. I'm gonna stand by the costumey glory. I think if there had been any time, it could have been worked out.

Wow, you really hit the nail on the head! I did not realize this before you mentioned it, but I am very much afraid this is true. (1) Stir up drama, (2) assure poor work by limiting work time, and then (3) let judges rant. Sure fire formula for ratings????

At least the goth-y clothes were more well made than most others. But I'm old enough to subscribe to the old-time maxim, "married in black, you'll wish yourself back."

But it's really not improving the ratings, is it? It's no wonder Kors hit the road.

I always found it interesting that Laura Ingalls Wilder married in a black dress.

I wanted to let you know that I love reading your posts, though I find it too hard to really comment just from the photos. I mean, I don't see any of the drama, neither do I really see how well-made the stuff is. In these pictures my favourites are definitely the black dresses, and I honestly don't think I'm biased because of Fäde's heritage. (I wonder if that is a problem with Heidi?)

My first car was that kind of red. My sister called it Rentnerrot, old-age pensioner's red.

And the yellow - it seems the colour here at the moment. Well, not only here. Nicki loves it and she can wear it, too.

Oh well. This is not really fun if I can't watch. *big sigh* And I still hate the new LJ app. It won't even let me change my icon.

Oh! I'm sorry, when the drama gets so sticky I often just bitch & bale. I'll try to be more explicit next week.

You're not - he's the best of the bunch, and the problem isn't Heidi (it's not like they try to hide the favoritism Amanda), the problem is that he's so low-key and smooth going. Not entertaining enough for the producers.

Nicki loves it and she can wear it, too.

Lucky! I sometimes wear yellow, but it is not a good color on me.

I'm sorry you're not have a fun experience, especially with the LJ crapola :(

With Nicki's beautiful coloring, she can probably wear any color!

I have not had any trouble with LJ, though I haven't made a post since October. What changed? Of course, my computer is VERY old and I get constant error messages. I keep putting off getting a new one because I am afraid of the new Word software. This dog is too old to learn new tricks. Woof!

Sorry, I don't think LJ ever notified me of your comment. I just found it because I was looking for something completely different. (Why does that sound Monty Pythonesque to me ( ... )

Let me start with a trip down memory lane. Take a look at Kara Saun's wedding dress from season 1. Pretty sure they had at least 2 days to make the dresses. The results are stunning ( ... )

Oh, I totally agree with you - it may be stereotypical, but I was really shocked they didn't go with a more African/Indian inspired look because that yellow really is more associated with the aesthetic of those places. So when they chose that color, I actually expected something more like that. Too bad! What they produced was a mess.
