Have finally finished the holiday marathon that started way back in October with Halloween. We had a big Chinese New Year's Eve extravaganza. We had 18 dishes and over 45 guests ranging in age from 3 to 77. I think a good time was had by all. I'm ready to collapse now...

There was a horrible story on the news last night about a woman who was bringing her 3 year old home from swimming lessons and found her other two children (aged 2 and 6) stabbed to death in the bathtub and the nanny on the floor with apparently self-inflicted injuries. I know the tabloids love it, but there's something deeply sad about the obsession that the media has with the contents of Kate Middleton's womb.
