So I finally saw the movie, and, uhm... it’s a movie. Yup. Moving images on the screen, uh-huh.

I’m ok with shaky premise, I am. It’s a summer blockbuster, realistic is this dream we had once upon a BBQ. THAT SAID.

The reception overall seems pretty flat; it might be a good thing if they just quietly dropped the plans for umpteen more of the same.

Nah, I'm looking forward to Cap3 and Thor3, and I definitely want the Black Widow film they say is in development. I was psyched about Dr. Strange until they cast Crumblesnoot, now I don't care very much. I want to see Captain Marvel; I don't know enough about Black Panther to have an opinion one way or another, but diversity in the lead roles of these things is good.

Avengers 3 is supposed to br done by the same team that gave us Cap2, which is being hailed as the best of the series yet, so hopefully it'll come out well. I'm not as filled with Whedon-hate as some parts of fandom, but he does have very obvious axes to grind, and worse, he's not a team player. He writes the story he wants to write, and never mind what other films have established for plot and characterization.
