Following meltintall3's advice, I am posting a couple photos of my first real embroidery project (not counting cross-stitch) (was that a pun? How terrible).  I am making a cottage-shaped tea cozy for my mom. I used this pattern she chose (scroll down), though I'm going to give it two chimneys - one at each end.

I shall be out of town and offline until the 21st. So if you don't see me, I'm not ignoring you.

When If I get married I shall have fragrant herbs scattered on the floor of the reception hall, to release their aromas as they are trod upon.

Eh. I know I've been terribly absent from LJ lately. Things have been pretty busy in my life. And - I admit it - I've been on Tumblr more.  *hides in shame*  The ease of "Reblogging" makes it regrettably addicting. LiveJournal is still much better for communicating with friends, though. I've been trying to catch up on that!

After work today I stopped at Value Village (resale store) and, as usual, was drawn like a magnet to the book section.
