Rumblin' and shakin' and quakin', OH MY!

An ordinary October day in the San Francisco Bay Area. The World Series is on tonight: Bay Bridge series, Giants vs. A's. It's Indian summer. Hot. REALLY hot. We're talking 94 degrees hot. I think it's the sudden darkness that would scare me most about your experience. The earthquake would of course terrify me...but the inability to see what was going on amid the screams and everyone else's terror? That just gave me cold chills.

It was easier to see near the front because of the windows, but we were towards the back and the racks extended way above my head. I still think of it whenever I see L.A. Gear shoes, too... which isn't very often anymore. Heh.

I can't blame you. That must have been a truly traumatic experience. I've never been unlucky enough to experience a full blown earthquake (we had one in my hometown that measures a mere 2 on the scale) but from that small taste I can only imagine the full terror it would elicit. Kudos to you for talking about it.
