hey there....I agree with you on Rent. I saw it for the first time w/ you, actually. Then after beginning to distant-date the guy who played Angel in the tour (ahhh, the fond memories) I subsequently saw it no less than half dozen times, including once from backstage---now THAT'S an interesting perspective! I felt they minimized Angel's role, and took out a major part I didn't appreciate (I won't go into detail, don't wanna ruin it ( ... )

And someone really didn't know what AZT was??? Yikes!!!

Not only did they minimize Angel, they also minimized Roger and Mark's friendship, which is one of my favorite things about the play. They argue and fight but stay friends. They left out all of the conflict between them. And the commitment ceremony irritated me.

I look forward to seeing Rent despite all the changes. Having seen the play at least 3 times, I'm sure I'll have comments, questions, and complaints to list in my blog as well. Very interesting.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed on the major career change. What I mean is, I'll be keeping my fingers crossed so that it works out in the absolutely most bestest way possible for you. I want it all to work out well. It would be pretty exciting.

I'm already betting that your apt has come undone within 24 hours :-)
