AJ is en-route. He called earlier and said the package had been picked up and will be delivered later on this evening.

YEAH!!!!

AJ called about 8:00 he will be leaving Parris Island around noon tomorrow. He said it takes about 10 hours on the bus.

So everyone get your party hats ready, it's going to be one hell of a party.

Think you can make it down Chris?? Don't know yet if we will have it this weekend or next. Depends on what AJ wants to do.

I just called RSP and talked to the Sr. D.I. He said AJ would be leaving there tomorrow. YEA!!!!!

AJ will call about 5:00 tonight to tell me what time he will be in. So will let everyone know when I get the call from him.

Yep you read it right. I got the 30 second call this morning saying "Recruit Downes is calling to inform you that he will be leaving Parris Island on RSP. You will be receiving a letter in 5 to 7 business days informing you of the day and time" It's about time. I got to see AJ this weekend, he is doing good. He has gone from 200 pounds to 170. He looks good though. He's still waiting to see what they are going to do with him. The standard military hurry up and wait crap. His Senior DI told me he was pushing to get him sent home to heal completely, then come back and try again in a few months ( Read more... )

I talked to AJ yesterday for a few minutes. His xrays showed he now has shin splints. So it's no wonder he is hurting really bad after he gets off the treadmill. I just got off the phone with AJ. He went to the Dr. this morning and will be in EHP for at least another week. He goes back to the Dr. next Wednesday for xrays. They have him going to the gym and walking the treadmill, so at least he has something new to look forward to every day. He said tell everyone hello and keep the letters coming.
