Once again I am having trouble keeping up with this thing. But I AM trying. Things have been going well for the most part. A couple of frustrating things have happened. My advisor told me that I am not dressing "professionally" consistantly when I am on site. That has worn on my nerves because I just want people to concentrate on my teaching, ( Read more... )

Its been a little while since I updated this thing so I suppose I should play catch up. My internship is going extremely well, it appears that I am going to be able to be fully certified in Special Ed. when I graduate! I am soo happy about that! Well, things seem to be going well with my Mentor. The kids missed me, I had been gone Tues. and Wed, and so I got lots of hugs when they came in this morning! Met with my Advisor, Miki, and she was telling me that she is concerned that I am being a bit too forward and overstepping my bounds as a student. I survived the first week too. Its a miracle! Actually it went really well, and my mentor has a lot of confidence in me. She's letting me do all kinds of things that I wouldn't think she would for a while. Anyway, kind of tired so I'll try to write more later.

I survived the 1st day in one piece!!! Actually I think it went well. The kids weren't bad really. They listened very well for the most part, especially when I was reading to them. Things have continued to spiral lately. We had to put my mother in a nursing home this week, now that was fun! *note the sarcasim* I've been designated as the responsible party in the matter. Well, we headed to Independance MO about 9:30 in the moring because Trina had an interview for a Grant that day, no other was available. We called when we got halfway and stopped for lunch and got some interesting news.
