Does anyone have suggestions for good driving music? It can be from any genre; all I ask is that it have a decent beat for driving to (or riding to, since it's fapiece who's doing the actual ( Read more... )

"Running Down a Dream" by Tom Petty
"Cold River" by A-Ha (might be hard to find)
"Behind the Wheel" by Depeche Mode (okay, it's a driving metaphor, at least)
Audioslave, can't remember the real title, the one that goes "I am not your rolling wheels, I am the highway"

I've already chimed in over on Facebook (with "Running Down a Dream" and "Run Run Run"), but because I'm a big ol' geek, I'll hit both venues.

How about the Allman Brothers' "Ramblin' Man"?

First off, I'll point out that there's "road music" and "driving music". Road music is anything you can sing along to, that makes you *want* to sing along - this will keep you awake better than any "driving music" which is generally music that makes you want to just drop the foot to the floor, and damn the consequences.

tarzxf got some of mine ("Radar Love" is perhaps the classic in the genre), but ( ... )
