To start: General SoCal pictures from last month including pics with eorlover in them, long exposures and planes taking off from LAX near lifftchi's place.
Supercar Sunday on April 18, 2010 in Woodland Hills, CA. Not a giant gathering (this time), but some fairly unique cars did show up, including a Mercedes Benz SL Gullwing.

Vehicular triumph!
I have a running diesel car again! Unfortunately, it smokes too much still, but at least I can use it to commute and cut that cost in half or more (35-40MPG >>> 18-22MPG ( Read more... ) -
How to make my weekend suck less
After a fun night at Rocky on Saturday, I went with funjon, kikikimi and a few others up to the Marin Headlands, north of the Golden Gate Bridge, and a bit west too.
Happily snapping pictures in the area, it all came to a sudden halt: "CF ERROR.Power cycled the camera (Canon XTi/400D) resulted in the same error. Switching to the backup card allowed picture ( Read more... ) -

"New" car fun...
With the Jetta not starting for over a month after a fuel filter change, I took drastic measures and picked up a second car: a 1991 Lexus LS400 with 238,000 miles.
Rolling in style does have some drawbacks:- Jetta: ~40mpg, Lexus: ~18mpg
- Jetta: ~$2.809/gallon for diesel 14.5 gallon tank, Lexus: $3.059/gallon for 91 octane 22 gallon tank
