I wish I had some advice... but I honestly didn't have any problem giving up meat just like that, never been fan of it. Being a vegetarian is super easy though... now going lacto or ovo gets a little tricky... and full on vegan is... whoa... I have so much respect for people that can do that and stay healthy.
well, are you wanting to become vegan, or vegetarian? because there is a HUGE difference. Maybe you should research the topic a little bit more before you set yourself up for something you arent ready for.
for example vegans dont eat anything that comes from animals (cheese, milk, eggs, basically all dairy). Where as the others just dont eat meat. Give a little more thought then just jumping into something that is as serious as that, that is my advise for you.
Uhmmm, I HAVE done a considerable amount of research on the matter. It would be silly not to! I wouldn't just jump on the wagon and be like "WOOO, I'M A VEGETARIAN NOW" because I understand that its more in-depth than that. As I said in my post I've been thinking about it for 3 years and have been picking up bits and pieces about it since then with more intense research through that last few months. I've thought about it alot and I just think its a good choice for me personally. I'm doing it slowly like they reccomend and just phasing out meat. And veganism (if it EVERRRRRR happens) is lightyearsssssssss away.
Start with white meat. That's what I did when i had to stop. My doctor said that white meat is much lighter than red, because of it's fat content, so start with white meat, and then ease into red.
Really?! I don't know how that'd work for me though! I actually honestly don't eat much red meat. Maybeeeee once every couple of weeks. I live on chicken!
Ohhh, well then it's much easier that way. Cause like, he told me I did it wrong when I started, and that you should increase your white meat, and use that to start cancelling out your red meat. Then, wean yourself off of the white meat.

I want to be a vegetarian so bad. I wish I didn't hate and loathe vegetables.
