So I will be over $3000 in debt before I even set foot on the African continent.  Great!

1. My beloved beta fish Kofi Annan died last week. When I announced the next morning that Kofi Annan died, my housemates seemed remarkably upset on my behalf, but then I realized that they didn't realize that I was talking about the beta fish named after Dr. KR's cat Boutros Boutros Gali, and not the former secretary general.

I am very pleasantly surprised with Fargo, North Dakota.

There are beautiful blonde people everywhere, and at least three trendy coffee shops, and a very charming downtown area with an art theater.

More importantly, the best playground slide in the world.
