Spent the day with a cold and in pain from a fall from my bike yesterday. I'm sneezing and blowing my nose and it's stopped up so I can't breathe. My left eye keeps watering and I've been feeling faintly nauseous for a couple days. Christopher Hitchens lost his battle with cancer last night in Houston. It makes me so sad that such a wise man is no more. The world just got a little stupider.

Checking my e-mail, I read an entry from sylumclan and was shocked. Has it actually been TWENTY YEARS (today) since Freddie Mercury died? It doesn't seem that long. Makes me sad all over again.

And it still hurts that I can't, for the life of me, that I can't remember what year Paul died.

Finally!! I just got new vertical blinds in the living room. Same old bland white-ish color but they close. they're even and they close all the way, making the room dark enough to sleep late in. Had a big shindig at CalExpo today, kinda forgot what it was called, it was a city/church hosted free charity thing for jobs, food, medical, and the like. They had tents where they were giving haircuts, pulling teeth, and passing out hot dogs. I could smell some barbecue going, but I didn't stay long enough to get to it. I should add to the previous post that the weather has cooled down considerably. No 80s and 90s, much cooler and overcast. I was comfortably cool coming back from Rite Aid and my windows have been open all day. Now if these hot flashes would only let me feel the cooler weather...

It's been such an aggravating couple of days, Friday and Saturday, that I decided to hide away at home today and hold off any errands until another day. I biked to Howe/Safeway Friday and decided to get enough for three baskets.
