This is just fascinating. I can't wait to find out what Matt decides will keep Karl loyal.

I love this so much - lovely introspection in both the last two parts and just wonderfully raw. Awesome :D

*flails incoherently for a while*

Okay, so I read this all in one hit, and after the first chapter, my feedback was going be along the lines of "Hi, my brain has overloaded on the competency-kink and might be back sometime next week. It's left a message: eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!" because eeeeeeeeeeee! *coughs*

You totally made my day with this review. I was all "Did I lose everybody with the second chapter?" and "Is Matt no longer redeemable in the eyes of the reader?" So I'm so glad that it all worked so strongly for you.

I'd been playing with the idea of an assassin slave for a while, then I read a Bourne AU by Trishabooms that totally inspired me to write this pairing, and then all the pieces of it just fell together as I was lying awake that night. I think it's really liberating to write a slave with a different main purpose than just sex.
