Does anyone know what the rating is on the dye for this test? It is a nuclear medicine test.

From http://www.kellymom.com/health/meds/radioisotopes.html:

"HIDA/Hepatobiliary scan (for gall bladder problems) - This test usually uses Tc-99m DISIDA, which should not require an interruption of breastfeeding (see the links below for detailed information). "

You rock. Thank you... and can we tell I was distracted when I posted this?

Can you call the radiologist and ask? He/she should be able to tell you and should be able to tell you which manufacture they use so you can double check yourself.

got it... I meant to post this in the breastfeeding community. I'm having the test tomorrow morning, and they have given me no info on it :(

Now to see if I can find someone to watch baby girl, as it apparently is not a short test.

We just went through that with K a few months ago. Tell the person with you to bring a book and snacks. It felt like it took forever. But they found out what was wrong and took it out soon after. *hugs and luck*
