Also, speaking from personal experience, might I recommend using some other way of denoting Flow-talk? I know that when I've been making the twins 'talk' in italics, it's bloody annoying to code them all afterwards when sticking the chapters online ^^; So I'm using {curly brackets} instead, which makes life SO much easier X3 Just telling you now so you don't kill yourself with coding later on XD
*cackle* The one, solitary, lonely good thing I got out of a four-year degree with #$%#$%!! UTas computers (bad things include headaches, murderous rages and brain decay) was the ability to input HTML code in my sleep. I literally don't notice when I'm typing it these days. Well, not until half a comment turns into italics, but you know XD
... wow, you can speed-type with curlies! :O *the awe* I'm so impressed. I've had four differently configured keyboards in my life, so my fingers learned pretty much nothing but letters, numbers and punctuation (and they occasionally cry when they forget where the delete key is on this newie keyboard XD)
valley-echo and night-shout <- I love the names of those. I just had to mention that.
Screw you <- Isn't that a little... Modernish ironbloody for the lad? I do love how these two are able to hold two conversations at the same time, though.
Patronising little creep, came the Flow-hiss. <- But he's so lovely while doing it. So is Rohennas. I love the ending. *snicker* Suits them right, it does
( ... )
Isn't that a little... Modernish ironbloody for the lad? -- Yeees, I deliberately went for something sharp and low-class there to make it look weird next to Seithenyn's politeness just before, but you're right - it looks more like something Special Issue would say. ;P
*gives the grouchy Seithenyn a short hug* Poor lad. Can't even beat his brother at having fans. Nothing happened to him, right? Or is that a fragment of my thoughts? -- I've grown rather fond of Seithenyn, younger brother complex and all ;D though I like him more when he's a bit older. And no, nothing happens to him (gaspu!) - he's still safely in Mithyaron in 'modern' times. (But he is part of my ballooning Plans for Talton's Future. ^_-)
And what does 'yaron' mean?-- Country ;D *is creative* 'Inyaron' means 'the West Country', 'Mithyaron' means 'the High Country' and 'Loryaron' (Loria) means 'the Wind Country'. And guess what the capital of 'Nasyaron' ('the Iron Country') is? Indeed, my creativity knows no bounds. O_o
( ... )
You couldn't have sent Seithenyn off to Inyaron in Cochalyon's stead, could you?..
Tell, tell! What plans? Is there lots of smashing buildings? Daring assaults on the Hold? A miraculous return of Cochalyon's mind somewhere near the end? Time-travel discoveries to make the whole of the Hold not have happened?
*cackles* I was going to guess for 'land', but that's my Europe-Dutchie-brain. I've a feeling I've (or someone else) asked this before, but what do the Fae names mean? (Notably Cochalyon, Inyamenna, Fiannas, Thalian and Seithenyn.)
I don't think you're helping, Lyssa. He's being sensible. You know how rare that is in fantasy settings.
*huggles back* No worries. You've got more written on it than I do on 'New Horizons'. I think I might have to give you a several story present to escape the horseyness, though.
((*cackles* Would Parathalian make as good a team with Tely?
Naw, that's fine. Come next Monday I'll be restricted to the mousepad, so I won't be playing much anyway. Try and play it with a mousepad. ><))
You couldn't have sent Seithenyn off to Inyaron in Cochalyon's stead, could you? -- They actually had an argument or two about that (surprise). Let's just say that Cochalyon really shouldn't have been trying so hard to win that one. XD
Tell, tell! What plans? Is there lots of smashing buildings? Daring assaults on the Hold? A miraculous return of Cochalyon's mind somewhere near the end? Time-travel discoveries to make the whole of the Hold not have happened? -- Ummm ... could be rather difficult, that XD but hey, what's a deus ex machina between friends?
Would you believe I haven't made up meanings for any names except 'Ancaladis' (Lady High-Hand, pretty common Maker-name) and 'Inyamenna' (Bright Daughter-Gift, also fairly common name as I've randomly decided)? I really should, though, they're fun XD
((Parathalian would make a so-so team with an ele ... paragons in general are fairly mediocre ;P Alas. And oh noes, no mouse? Why can't you steal it any more?))
Brotherly shoutpullhairfightinthebackseat love, yes. ;D Heh, but at least these two are good boys in general - not like Maios and Thalian ...
I don't think this is in any danger of book-write-y professionality, my sweet XD but as I said to 'Narti, I would probably input the square-bracket tags in the same time it would take me to find the lovely squiggly brackets on a keyboard! (Why are laptop keyboards all different? O_o)
Thanks for reading, my precious! *hugs* Yes, I do rather vastly prefer this to the last Cochalyon offering :P
Definitely no siblings. It is impossible to cooperate with them without a very great amount of arguiung and attempts to one-up - but once you get to the point of cooperation, works the best because no one else would no exactly what you were going to do next.
I liked the Flow-Talk in bold - I tend to use italics, and it's harder to differentiate. Bold is nice and obvious.
This is true. No-one ever understands you like a sibling does. (Probably only because they share the same genetic disorders, though. XD)
I actually can't remember what my reasoning was behind bold instead of italics now - I used bold for the Flow-talk in a different short, so I just kept on doing it this time ...

O_o Oh wow...she's gone up in the world since Midlanders, Southerners, Westerners and etc... ;) *ducks*
Ah, yes, the story. Always nice to see more Cochalyon pre-Hold, even if it just keeps making the Hold-Cochalyon more unbearable. Those two...makes me glad I didn't have a sibling of the same gender. ;)
Loved all the details worked in over the course of the rescue operation--and the whole setting of the rescue operation itself, sad as it is. Only whets my appetite to see more of this portion of the timeline...
Just loved the turn at the end. Rohennas has sure got some impressive facial-expression-controlling abilities, doesn't she? ;D
Thanks for posting (and thanks for harrassing, Shanra)! It was a lovely bit of lunch-fodder indeed.
I hardly call pining away where Alyssa can see (well, read) it harassing her. ^-~ And I second the more of this part of the timeline bit!
*ruffles Cochalyon's hair for good measure* We loves pre-Hold Cochalyon, we does. (He needs a nickname, Lyssa! 'cause I'm lazy and bad at making up nicknames. ^-~)

Yep yep--more pre-Hold Cochalyon is always welcome! (and boy I'm finding that name hard to type for some reason...)

Um, it does inhabit opposite ends of the keyboard, yes. Gives the fingers a workout. Deliberately chosen, of course. XD
