Aw, my Thai neighbour brought me an orange as a convalescence gift ^_^ sweetie.

But that is not the purpose of my post! My purpose is ... castles for Cecily and Kyoto for Anne!Restless night this. I've just thrown a cranky tantrum and deleted the story I was working on, as it was crap - as even its Paladin would agree :O - and I seem to have been ( Read more... )

*squeee!* That's so cool! The castle looks stunning. How wonderful it must be for you to see sights like that.

As for the writing, not to worry. If it's not coming, it's not coming and there's no point in trying to force it, as you said. I hope you have a wonderfully relaxing time instead.

I must say I've been getting a lot of mileage out of your LJ entries. Sahaquiel (fascinated by all things Japanese) was amazed to hear it's rude to blow your nose. And there was a reference to Golden Week on One Piece the anime I'm currently watching. It was cool to be able to say "Wait a minute! That wasn't so long ago!"

It certainly is. I seem to have led an incredibly lucky and privileged life for no apparent good reason, which always makes me slightly-uncomfortable-but-grateful ^_-

Thanks, hon. I keep trying to tell myself to be patient, but it's hard when I know how little free writing time I get anyway ... still, a hiatus never hurt anyone. Maybe when I come back to it all after a break, they'll each be trotting out fresh and thoughtful ideas for me to take on. Right? Er, right?

One Piece! (Or 'Wampisu', if you're Japanese!) That's incredibly popular around here. I've never seen it though - any good? My epiphany came when I watched a documentary last year and the Battle of Sekigahara came up, and I realised I'd been to Sekigahara (pretty boring remote station, actually X3). They play paintball in that vicinity now. Wonder what the samurai ghosts think of that ;D ( ... )

Even if they don't, everyone needs a break now and then.

One Piece... I guess it depends on what you look for in an anime. I love it. Nice and light-hearted, with the whole "follow your dreams" angle. Actually it's rather a lot like Naruto if you've ever seen that. Besides, One Piece has the coolest Jolly Roger I've ever seen, so I have to love it just for that. Lots of special powers and character battles, a healthy dose of adventure.
