Wow...that is a gorgeous color! And the back poufs look great! If you have any leftover fabric, I'd make some ruffles layered with lace for a trim.

I actually have quite a lot of the blue fabric left! Since I seem to have messed up my order with the striped fabric I think maybe I messed this order up also, but in the other direction! Ruffles with lace sounds pretty! But I was thinking maybe I should use some darker colour so that the dress wont be too cute and pretty? Maybe ruffles with black lace?

or.. maybe use rusty-brownish for trim?? There was a thread at Belle Alley about someone making a gown from a movie with blue and brown, but now of course I can't find it...

Maybe from the movie "Far and Away"? I know there was a blue/brown dress in that. I guess it all depends on how much contrast you want. I'd probably go with something lighter, like tan or khaki for a lace trim. I wonder if gray would work...it might pick up some of the blue in the stripes?
